The globetrotting Salon du Chocolat comes to Paris to celebrate this amazing trade show’s 20th anniversary. Presented from October 29th to November 2nd at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, this event is easily accessible from the comfort of the Grand Hotel du Bel Air. If you have a passion for chocolate or a connection with the associated industries, don’t miss the Salon du Chocolat.
Cocoa, Chocolate and an edible Art Form
This tasty trade fair will occupy 20,000 square metres of exhibition space on two floors. The ground floor will present a continuing celebration of chocolate with culinary workshops, demonstrations of the art of the chocolatier and presentations by cocoa producing nations. The first floor will be the location for the show’s flagship events, including the Chocolate Fashion Show and its amazing displays of edible couture.
Enjoy Artchoc’olat, an all-new feature with designers, artists, sculptors and chocolatiers producing creations to astonish. Graffiti artist Socrome and his collective will create original art on the chocolate theme. The Chocosphere is a space dedicated to conferences and tastings. Chocoland offers workshops for the kids, so they can create personal pieces to eat. The Cocoa Show will have you tapping your feet as the virtues of chocolate and the traditions of cocoa producing nations are celebrated in songs and dance. The Chocolate Bookshop will host authors signing their works and a vast range of publications from which to choose.
If that’s not enough to tempt you, then L’Atelier des Sens will present its chefs every day for free pastry and chocolate workshops for both adults and children. These intriguingly titled ‘Lessons In Immoderation’ promise to be great fun, as always. Competitions, the International Cocoa Awards, and the fascinating story of ‘From Bean To Bar’ complete the picture of an event that promises to be a chocoholic’s dream.
The great Paris International Motor Show for 2014
Car buffs, petrolheads, collectors and industry professionals gather in Paris every two years for the Paris Motor Show, the first and still the best of its kind. At the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre from October 4th to 19th, you will discover an automobile enthusiast’s paradise. Concept cars, new production models, over fifty manufacturers, an electric car testing centre, a fascinating new exhibition featuring vintage vehicles and even more are all available to you at this thrilling trade show. Open 10:00 to 20:00 daily. Late opening Thursday and Friday until 22:00. Children under ten are allowed in for free.
