Publish on Sunday, 12 October 2014 dans Fairs and tradeshows

In the years since it was first held in 1997, Paris Photo has established itself as one of the world’s leading photography fairs. Each year photography enthusiasts, collectors and industry professionals gather to find out what is new in their areas of interest and make connections with like-minded individuals or establish business connections. Paris Photo takes place in the exquisitely lovely surroundings of the Grand Palais from November 13th to the 16th.

The foremost fair devoted to the still image

The 18th edition of Paris Photo is shaping up to be the biggest and best so far. The venue is the appropriately photogenic Grand Palais. Beneath the soaring glass roof of this magnificent building over 160 galleries and art book dealers from over 34 countries will be setting up their booths to create a photographic cornucopia appealing to professionals, amateurs and indeed anyone with any interest in this fascinating combination of science and art form.

This premiere international arts fair dedicated to work in the photographic medium is renowned for its innovative and high level programming. This includes the Private Collection exhibition, in which masterpieces gathered together by discerning enthusiasts are displayed. The Recent Acquisitions exhibition presents collections of work gleaned from international institutions. The Open Book section looks at the role taken by the photo book in the medium’s history. Conversations, presentations, interviews and debates organised by guest curators are the key elements of the Paris Photo Platform, guaranteed to entertain and enlighten you. Don’t miss Paris Photo; bringing an art form into focus this November.
