The most eagerly anticipated international motor show is, as always, the Paris Mondial de l’Automobile. Presented in the state of the art surroundings of the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, this not-to-be-missed event is presented from October 4th to 19th. Taking place every other year, this stunning trade show hosts the biggest brands, unveils the latest models and presents the latest technological innovations.
New production car launches and concept cars
Begun in 1898 by the French automobile pioneer Albert de Dion and the Automobile Club de France, this is the world’s oldest motor show, and still the number one. A million and a quarter visitors attended in 2012, so why not come and see the reason for the show’s popularity in 2014?
Over 50 major marques will be exhibiting, presenting concept cars and some highly anticipated new production models. Launched this year will be the brand new Fiat 500X, Mercedes AMG GT and Jaguar XE, in addition to the premieres of several next generation models such as the Mazda MX5, Volvo XC90 and the mark 2 Audi R8.
There will be a testing centre for hybrid and electric vehicles and a chance for you to try out some cars belonging to this wave of the future.
As always the show will present an exhibition. This year the theme is Automobiles and Fashion, tracing the links and correlations between these two fields. Over fifty cars will be on display, going all the way back to an 1897 Panhard and a 1914 Hotchkiss and spanning the years to 21st century concept cars from Citroen, Renault, Peugeot and Smart.
